  • Q: How should my company apply for ISO14001 standard certification? What are the basic requirements?
    A: To apply for certification, the environmental management system established by the company must meet two basic conditions:
    1. Comply with China's environmental laws, regulations, standards, and total quantity control requirements;
    2. The system must have been in trial operation for at least 3 months.

    Q: My company has not established an ISO9000 system. Can we directly establish an ISO14000 system?
    A: The ISO9000 system and ISO14000 system are relatively independent yet interconnected and interactive systems. You can completely establish the ISO14000 system directly.

    Q: How is the audit process for the ISO14001 standard conducted?
    A: First, the company submits application materials to the certification body, which reviews whether the two basic conditions are met. After the application is accepted, the certification body enters the first stage of the audit, which mainly reviews system documents, system planning and design, internal audits, and management reviews. Combined with on-site audits, the audit scope is confirmed, and corrective suggestions are made. After the company completes the corrections satisfactorily, it enters the second stage of the audit, which is mainly an on-site audit. After the audit is completed, the certification body conducts a technical evaluation based on the audit results and submits it to the Environmental Certification Committee for re-examination, filing, and unified numbering. Finally, those who pass are issued a certificate, which is valid for three years.
