By the end of 2024, mandatory national standards that have been implemented for 5 years or have reached 5 years since the last review will be included in this review, except those for which revision plans have been issued or revision projects have been proposed.

Xiaoshu, as one of the traditional Chinese twenty-four solar terms, marks the beginning of midsummer. It usually occurs between July 6 and 8 each year, when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 105°. "Xiao" here means the heat is just beginning to appear but has not yet reached its peak. The arrival of Xiaoshu, accompanied by the loud singing of cicadas and the blooming of lotus flowers, is nature's prelude to the summer's enthusiasm. The climatic characteristics of Xiaoshu are changeable and intense. A farming proverb says: "Xiaoshu and Dashu, steaming above and boiling below," vividly describing the climate features of this period. In folk customs, the Xiaoshu solar term is rich with activities. In the Jiangnan region, there is a custom of "eating Xiaoshu noodles," symbolizing relief from heat and wishing for health. In the north, people like to eat watermelon and drink mung bean soup during Xiaoshu to cool down. Additionally, Xiaoshu is a good time for drying clothes and books; there is a folk saying "Xiaoshu dries mildew" to prevent dampness and mold. Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation has approved the release of 99 local standards

To implement the "Capital Standardization Development Outline 2035" and promote the key tasks of the 2024 Municipal Government Work Report, as well as to build a high-quality development standard system for the capital, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration recently approved and released 99 local standards, including 66 newly formulated and 33 revised standards.

Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau issues implementation plan to support equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-in with standards

Recently, to implement the national and Beijing municipal plans promoting equipment upgrades and the replacement of consumer goods with new ones, and to leverage standards to support these initiatives, with the approval of the municipal government, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau and nine other departments jointly issued the "Beijing Implementation Plan for Supporting Equipment Upgrades and Consumer Goods Replacement with Standards."
