The State Administration for Market Regulation issued Announcement No. 24 of 2024. In collaboration with relevant departments of the State Council, the administration thoroughly implements the new development philosophy aimed at promoting consumption, expanding domestic demand, leading green consumption, and fostering the development of new quality productivity. Focusing on high-quality industrial development and green low-carbon transformation, it comprehensively considers key areas in the standards strategies of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the public disclosure of enterprise standard self-declarations, consumer attention, and the impact of standards on improving product and service quality. It has proposed and released the "2024 Key Areas for Implementing Enterprise Standard 'Pacesetters'", covering a total of 146 key areas.

The mandatory national standard "Safety Technical Specification for Ammonium Nitrate" has been issued and will be implemented from November 1, 2024.

To implement the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening the Safety Production of Hazardous Chemicals" issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council, deeply learn from major domestic and international ammonium nitrate accidents, strengthen the major safety risk control of ammonium nitrate, and improve the intrinsic safety level of relevant enterprises, the Ministry of Emergency Management has organized the formulation of the national standard "Safety Technical Specification for Ammonium Nitrate" (GB 44022-2024), which was recently released and will be implemented from November 1, 2024.
