Coming into effect soon! These 6 types of products must not be produced without obtaining a license!


According to the announcement by the State Administration for Market Regulation on implementing the "Decision of the State Council on Adjusting and Improving the Catalogue for the Administration of Industrial Product Production Licenses," starting from September 25, 2024, industrial product production license management will be implemented for six products: cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, bottled liquefied petroleum gas regulators, steel wire ropes, plywood, blockboard, and safety helmets. Enterprises that have not obtained the industrial product production license are not allowed to produce the above products.

On May 9, the State Council issued the "Decision on Adjusting and Improving the Catalogue for the Administration of Industrial Product Production Licenses," stating that to ensure the quality and safety of important industrial products, strengthen product access management and source control, prevent major risks to product quality and safety, and ensure the safety of people's lives, property, and public security, the State Council has decided to adjust and improve the catalogue for the administration of industrial product production licenses, implementing license management for six products: cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, bottled liquefied petroleum gas regulators, steel wire ropes, plywood, blockboard, and safety helmets.

The "Decision" requires that the competent department of the State Council for industrial product production licenses should promptly formulate implementation rules for the production licenses of the six products including cold-rolled ribbed steel bars, clarify the transition period, and ensure implementation begins before the end of September 2024.

These opinions aim to tap deeply into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial and information technology sectors, drive carbon reduction and efficiency improvements in key industries, promote a green and low-carbon transformation, and foster the development of new-quality productive forces.
