The "Advanced Training Course on Energy Conservation, Carbon Reduction, and Green Development" Successfully Concluded

To thoroughly implement the overall deployment of the 19th National Congress report on "strengthening the national innovation system, cultivating a large number of internationally competitive strategic scientific and technological talents and outstanding scientific and technological talents," the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have put forward the overall requirements of "deeply implementing the innovation-driven development strategy, focusing on supporting conditions such as talent, and strengthening service guarantees." Beijing United Wisdom Certification Co., Ltd. actively responded to the call by carrying out public welfare training and hosting the "Advanced Seminar on Energy Conservation, Carbon Reduction, and Green Development", held classes at Xinyuanli, Chaoyang District.

With the co-sponsorship of Beijing United Wisdom Group and the Green Branch of the Beijing Investment Association, this advanced seminar effectively carried out normalized epidemic prevention and control work. The seminar gathered many top-notch talents and invited experts from the National Climate Strategy Center, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, and the field of industrial energy conservation and green development to jointly give lectures. Professional technical trainees and managers from Beijing, Tianjin, Xiong'an New Area, and the "Three Northern Counties" gathered together to receive training.

Wang Junbang, Investigator of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Division of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Wang Junbang first gave full recognition to the launch of this advanced seminar. Energy conservation and emission reduction are specific measures to build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, implement the scientific outlook on development, and follow the path of sustainable development. They are also necessary measures to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and industries.

Li Xiaodan, Director of the Industry Promotion Department of the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, conducted training on "Implementing Clean Production." Li Xiaodan explained to the trainees the policy background, significance, and procedural requirements of clean production, and used the laundry industry as a specific case to deliver a vivid and substantial lesson.

Wang Jian, Director of the Energy Audit Department of the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center, provided a policy interpretation related to the theme of this study "Energy Conservation, Carbon Reduction, and Green Development," including the "Comprehensive Work Plan for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction" (State Council Document [2016] No. 74), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "Industrial Green Development Plan" (2016-2020) (MIIT Regulation [2016] No. 225), and the "Beijing City Master Plan" (2016-2035). Through explanation and discussion, trainees gained a deeper understanding of the implementation paths, policy support, and future prospects of energy conservation and green development, which was highly instructive and practical.

The next day, Professor-level Senior Engineer Shi Xinhua, an industry expert, gave a lecture on "Building a Green Manufacturing System," sharing leading technologies in energy conservation and environmental protection. As an industry expert, Shi Xinhua has many years of experience in green and energy-saving technology management, has participated in dozens of energy-saving management and technological transformation projects, and has served as the chief editor of national, industry, and local standards related to the industry.

On October 21, Director Zhang Zhiqiang of the National Climate Strategy Center took the podium with the topic "The Impact of Climate Change Response and Carbon Neutrality on China's Future Development." Combining the carbon neutrality direction of industrial enterprises and advanced typical cases, he explained to trainees how to promote a "win-win" development and climate protection. Actively responding to climate change and environmental protection is an inevitable requirement for the sustainable development of China's economy and society. It organically integrates ecological civilization construction, climate change response, environmental protection, and transformation of economic development modes, follows the path of green and low-carbon development, establishes and improves an economic system of green, low-carbon, and circular development, promotes sustainable and high-quality economic development in China, and achieves a multi-win situation for economic development, environmental protection, and climate change response.

After all courses were completed, all trainees submitted papers of no less than 3,000 words on their reflections and exchange results from this study.

Director Zhao Qing of the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and expert Shi Xinhua gave the graduation summary. Zhao Qing highly praised the effect of this public welfare training seminar, thanked Beijing United Wisdom for its outstanding contribution to the green development cause in Beijing and nationwide, and expressed that through this study, more accomplished and innovative energy-saving technology and management talents will surely be cultivated.

Zhao Qing and Shi Xinhua awarded graduation certificates to all trainees. Thus, the Advanced Seminar on Energy Conservation, Carbon Reduction, and Green Development was successfully concluded.
