[Green Development] United Intelligence was invited to participate in the 3rd China Carbon Trading Market Development Forum


On May 15-16, 2021, the "3rd China Carbon Trading Market Development Forum" jointly organized by the China Energy Conservation Association and the Resource and Environment Research Branch of the China National Institute of Standardization was held in Beijing. Du Xiangwan, former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Liu Yanhua, Director of the National Climate Change Expert Committee, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and former Counselor of the State Council; Wang Jinnan, Director of the Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; He Kebin, Professor at the School of Environment of Tsinghua University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Xu Huaqing, Director of the National Center for Climate Change Strategy Research and International Cooperation; Lin Ling, Director of the Resource and Environment Research Branch of the China National Institute of Standardization; Zhang Ronghua, Vice President of the China Glory Society, Standing Committee Member of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Chairman of the Board of Rongcheng Group; and Li Chao, Chief Economist of Zheshang Securities, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Jiang Yi, Chairman of the China Energy Conservation Association and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Qiu Yueming, Vice President of the China National Institute of Standardization, delivered welcome speeches at the forum. The opening ceremony of the forum was hosted by Fang Qing, Vice Chairman of the China Energy Conservation Association, and the keynote speech was hosted by Song Zhongkui, Secretary General of the China Energy Conservation Association.

The forum, themed "Green Responsibility, Zero Carbon Future," deeply studied and implemented the 2020 Central Economic Work Conference's call to achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. The forum conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics such as the carbon peaking action plan, carbon neutrality strategic planning, carbon market construction, green finance, domestic voluntary emission reduction market, and energy saving and carbon reduction. It interpreted green development policies, analyzed new trends in carbon market construction and green finance development, proposed new ideas for energy saving and carbon reduction, and built a communication platform for enterprises and governments, playing a bridging role.

As a newly added council member unit, Beijing United Intelligence Certification Co., Ltd. was represented by Deputy General Manager Zhang Xin, who went on stage to receive the "New Member Unit Membership Certificate" and was invited for an exclusive interview. Deputy General Manager Zhang Xin described the basic path to achieving carbon neutrality, including energy saving and emission reduction, green and low-carbon development, reducing energy consumption, and improving energy utilization efficiency. He also mentioned the opportunities and challenges that the carbon neutrality goal brings to institutions. His speech was highly praised and appreciated by attendees, who found it very timely and professional, deepening everyone's understanding of the basic concepts related to carbon peaking and carbon neutrality as well as the opportunities and challenges enterprises face under the carbon neutrality goal.

These opinions aim to tap deeply into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial and information technology sectors, drive carbon reduction and efficiency improvements in key industries, promote a green and low-carbon transformation, and foster the development of new-quality productive forces.
