On the morning of February 18, 2022, the United Wisdom Environmental Development Center officially launched the first session of the "Refined Management of Solid (Hazardous) Waste Pollution Prevention" lecture series — "Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste." The training was held in a "online + offline" format, with more than 300 enterprises and institutions from relevant national ecological environment authorities and various industries participating. The venue was full of distinguished guests, the online learning atmosphere was intense, and some companies even organized management personnel from various levels to participate together, showing great importance.

In response to the "Hazardous Waste Transfer Management Measures" approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment's executive meeting on September 18, 2021, and agreed upon by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Transport, which came into effect on January 1, 2022, as well as the Ministry of Ecology and Environment's December 21, 2021 issued "Notice on Carrying out Industrial Solid Waste Discharge Permit Management Work," the "Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Discharge Permits for Industrial Solid Waste (Trial) (HJ 1200-2021)" standard implemented on January 1, 2022, the basic reporting requirements related to solid (hazardous) waste pollution management, technical requirements for pollution prevention and control, environmental management ledger and discharge permit execution report preparation requirements, compliance determination methods, and other latest laws, regulations, and policy documents, enterprises implementing solid (hazardous) waste prevention and control technical management according to legal provisions should strictly implement all requirements and main responsibilities of solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management as stipulated by the regulations.
In response to the new laws, regulations, and management requirements such as the "Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Discharge Permits for Industrial Solid Waste (Trial) (HJ1200-2021)", "Hazardous Waste Transfer Management Measures", and "Notice on Carrying out Industrial Solid Waste Discharge Permit Management Work," to help solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management units grasp the content of solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management, especially the enforcement against illegal acts, environmental management ledger and execution report filling requirements, which are of great concern to enterprises, United Wisdom specially invited Professor Liu, an expert in the ecological environment solid waste field, to provide a precise interpretation of the implementation policies for solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management, and deepen understanding of the regulations through real cases. At the same time, it emphasized that after enterprises legally obtain discharge permits, production and solid (hazardous) waste discharge must still comply with post-permit supervision requirements. It also analyzed how to supervise and issues to note during inspections, provided detailed and in-depth interpretations of the entire management requirements for solid (hazardous) waste identification, storage, transfer, treatment, and disposal, and gave solutions and suggestions for difficulties encountered in actual enterprise reporting, ensuring participants learn thoroughly and clearly understand key points.

The invited lecturer for this training, Professor Liu, is an expert from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, possessing strong professional expertise and rich on-site practical experience. Combining theory with practice at a high level, from macro policy perspectives to how to implement management, the two-hour session flowed smoothly and seamlessly. Participants expressed that it was wonderful and captivating. After the class, experts and enterprises exchanged views on the training content. Some participants feedback that they have been overwhelmed recently by solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management, and this training truly addressed the urgent needs of enterprises. It not only effectively deepened understanding of the latest laws on solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management but also provided ideas for carrying out environmental management, which is very important for future solid (hazardous) waste pollution prevention and control management. Everyone is looking forward to subsequent training courses and hopes United Wisdom will continue to hold such training activities.
