United Intelligence Certification Company Supports the Successful Holding of the Tianjin Certification Bodies "Grand Competition" Finals

To further enhance the overall business capability and management level of certification bodies in Tianjin, and to improve the professional quality of certification auditors, the Tianjin Municipal Market Supervision Commission, together with the Municipal Quality Association, jointly organized the Tianjin Certification Bodies Knowledge and Skills Competition "Grand Contest". The preliminary round of this knowledge and skills competition was conducted online in May. After scoring and review by the judging panel, the top six contestants from the preliminary round advanced to the finals.

The finals were successfully held on July 29, 2022, at the CNOOC Tianjin Chemical Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. in Hongqiao District, Tianjin. Leaders from the Certification Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation (CNCA), China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), Tianjin Municipal Market Supervision Commission, Tianjin Quality Association, technical expert judges from Beijing United Intelligence Certification Co., Ltd., the chairman, vice-chairmen, members of the Tianjin Certification and Testing Professional Committee, representatives of member units, as well as representatives of participating units and contestants of the Tianjin Certification Bodies Knowledge and Skills Competition "Grand Contest" finals, totaling nearly one hundred people, attended the event.

On the morning of the finals, a symposium for certification bodies was first held, focusing on the development and supervision status of certification bodies in Tianjin. Leaders from the Certification Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Tianjin Municipal Market Supervision Commission, Tianjin Quality Association, representatives of participating units in the Tianjin Certification Bodies Knowledge and Skills Competition "Grand Contest" finals, and Meng Yongge, General Manager of Beijing United Intelligence Certification Co., Ltd., attended the symposium. They fully expressed their recognition of the positive significance of this event. Certification personnel engaged in high-tech service industries need to continuously improve their personal business capabilities and comprehensive qualities. Only by continuously strengthening the construction of a high-quality, highly skilled talent team and normalizing capacity-building activities combined with business characteristics can the needs of customers and the market be met. Certification bodies should aim to play an industry-leading role, improve business capabilities and comprehensive qualities, and advance to a new stage of "large-scale business training and technical competition" activities.

In the afternoon, the finals of the Certification Bodies Knowledge and Skills Competition "Grand Contest" officially commenced. The finals were held offline, with each team sending two members who must hold three-system auditor qualifications. The participating teams that entered the finals were divided into two groups based on the draw results of odd and even numbers, with three teams in each group. The two groups conducted document review and on-site simulated audits in a cross manner. The competition atmosphere was intense and exciting, with rich and wonderful content, and enthusiastic responses from both contestants and audience.

After the knowledge and skills competition, the inaugural meeting of the Tianjin Certification and Testing Professional Committee was held. The meeting reviewed and approved the list of the committee chairman, vice-chairmen, and members, the "Management Measures of Tianjin Certification and Testing Professional Committee," and collectively signed and approved the "Integrity and Self-discipline Convention of Member Units of Tianjin Certification and Testing Professional Committee."

Professional knowledge and skills of certification bodies play an increasingly important role in the audit process. Various tasks of certification bodies are continuously seeking improvements and enhancements through informatization and intelligence. Holding competitions not only allows sharing and accumulation of experiences and skills from different professions and positions, continuously enriching the internal training system of enterprises and strengthening knowledge management, but also greatly increases overall participation in the "Grand Contest," becoming one of the ways to discover outstanding talents. This year marks the first time the Tianjin Certification Bodies Knowledge and Skills Competition "Grand Contest" was held. From previously similar purely skill competitions, it has now become an important event rooted in certification bodies. With the continuous innovation of competition content, communication among certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities has been enhanced. The collaborative resonance of the "Grand Contest" will further improve the fundamental strength of certification bodies and convey certification trust, responsibility, and power to society.
