Promoting Global Quality Transformation and Cooperation: China Quality (Chengdu) Conference Issues Quality Initiative

　　On September 2nd, the China Quality (Chengdu) Conference concluded. More than 800 representatives from 40 countries and regions worldwide, 7 international and regional organizations, as well as relevant technical institutions and enterprises gathered in Chengdu, China, to jointly attend the China Quality (Chengdu) Conference. They conducted in-depth exchanges around the theme "Quality Transformation and Cooperation in Economic Recovery," discussed plans for quality transformation and cooperative development, and reached broad consensus.

　　The conference pointed out that quality is an important factor for prosperous international trade, driving economic growth, and enhancing people's well-being. Currently, the global economy is still in a difficult recovery phase, facing various risks and challenges. China Quality (Chengdu) Conference Proposes Initiative

　　1. Contribute value to economic and social development through quality transformation. Quality is an important guarantee for human production and life, relating to the overall economic and social development. We must uphold the development concept of quality first, strengthen the development orientation of value creation through quality, promote comprehensive transformation of concepts, goals, tools, and methods, inject vitality into enterprise operations, industrial development, and economic growth through quality transformation, and promote global economic recovery and prosperity through common progress in quality.

　　2. Improve human life quality through quality upgrading. Adhering to the people-centered development concept, focusing on the growing needs of people for a better life, expanding the supply of high-quality products and services, continuously improving the safety levels of food, medicine, agricultural products, etc., raising standards for basic public services such as education, healthcare, and elderly care, constantly improving the living quality of urban and rural residents, promoting greener, smarter, and higher-quality economic and social development, and creating a healthier, safer, and higher-quality happy life for people worldwide.

　　3. Promote continuous innovation in quality technology, management, and systems. Adapt to technological progress and changing demands, promote the application of new technologies, new processes, and new materials, accelerate product research and development and quality upgrading. Promote deep integration of new-generation information technology, general artificial intelligence technology, and quality technology, strengthen and improve quality management of supply chains and industrial chains, and promote widespread application of quality management systems covering all personnel, all elements, all processes, and all data.

Promote coordinated use and integrated development of elements such as metrology, standards, certification and accreditation, inspection and testing, enhance the digital level of quality technology institutions, and build smarter quality infrastructure.
