ShenCai Feiyang | The Journey of Becoming an Auditor

Speaking of joining the United Intelligence Industry auditor family, I must first thank General Manager Tan. It was she who introduced me to the auditor role and also suggested that I take the auditor exam.

At that time, my thinking was simple: more certificates, more skills, more choices. After all, it's not a bad thing. I also wanted to be a multi-skilled professional. So I signed up for the auditor exam.

The first time I prepared for the quality system, I thought I could pass just by practicing questions. But during the exam, I found many questions I didn't recognize, and of course, the questions didn't recognize me either. As a result, I only passed one of the two exams.

Then the auditor exam was reformed. Regardless of the system, you must pass the management system certification basics and certification general basics exams. These two basics include Q&A questions, which are somewhat difficult for beginners. To pass the exam, you need to thoroughly study the standards, understand the basics of conformity assessment, master audit knowledge and methods, and be able to use audit tools, etc.

During the subsequent preparation, I first read through the textbooks: basics of conformity assessment and audit basics, gaining a general understanding and recognition of auditing, and becoming familiar with audit terminology and knowledge.

As the saying goes: a good brain is not as good as a worn-out pen. During preparation, I would copy the standards and some key points, writing the important and hard-to-remember parts multiple times, and understanding the meaning of each sentence while writing. Then I would practice questions, identifying and filling gaps, connecting the knowledge and questions I had previously studied.

Because my memory is not very good, I would register for one or two exams at a time. I thought as long as I could pass one each time, I would eventually succeed. Gradually, I finally collected passing scores for five courses across three systems, getting one step closer to becoming a formal auditor.

On the eve of officially becoming an auditor, I set a clear career goal for myself: to provide effective quality assurance for organizations and enterprises through my profession, helping them improve efficiency and competitiveness. At the same time, I also hope to enhance my professional qualities and comprehensive abilities through this path.

During the audit internship, I participated in audits of multiple projects, not only learning about audit processes and methods but also how to handle various challenges and problems.

During this process, many experienced audit instructors guided me. My first audit was with General Manager Guo, who patiently taught me step by step, giving me a systematic understanding of audit work.

In addition, other audit instructors in the company, such as Mr. Lu, Mr. Wang, Mr. Li, Mr. Liu, and others, left a deep impression on me with their professionalism and dedication. They are all role models for my learning.

In the process of becoming an auditor, I also encountered many setbacks and confusions. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed and didn’t know how to deal with complex problems. But with United Intelligence Certification Company as my backing and the professional guidance of many audit instructors, I firmly believe that as long as I keep working hard and learning, I can overcome these difficulties.

Becoming an auditor is both a challenge and growth for me. This process is full of twists and troubles but also full of gains and joy. On the path of being an auditor, I will clarify my goals, keep learning and improving, and maintain confidence and courage when facing setbacks... "There will be times when the long wind and waves break through, hoisting the sails straight to cross the vast sea." Although the journey has challenges, I believe that one day I will hoist the sails to cross the vast ocean, reach the ideal shore, realize my goals through my actions, and contribute to society.
