Launch of the Pilot "Knowledge Session" for the First Product Carbon Footprint Label Certification

Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation released the first "Product Carbon Footprint Label Certification Pilot Work 'Knowledge Meeting'" (hereinafter referred to as "Knowledge Meeting"). As the first work guide for the product carbon footprint label certification pilot, the "Knowledge Meeting" integrates practicality, comprehensibility, timeliness, and authority, addressing common issues encountered during the promotion of the product carbon footprint label certification pilot in a Q&A format, effectively supporting the scientific, steady, and efficient advancement of the pilot work.

The "Knowledge Meeting" fully incorporates opinions and suggestions from relevant departments, pilot regions, and pilot institutions, combining policy requirements with actual conditions. It lists potential problems and solutions encountered during the pilot process, closely integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application to truly achieve "easy to understand, easy to grasp, and conducive to practice."

The "Knowledge Meeting" is divided into three chapters: Basic Knowledge, Pilot Content, and Pilot Implementation. It clarifies the specific requirements of the pilot work from multiple aspects such as basic concepts, pilot objectives, work principles, certification procedures, and task division, helping all parties better understand the pilot promotion approach and effectively improving the consistency and effectiveness of pilot implementation.

Next, the State Administration for Market Regulation will closely combine with the actual situation of the pilot, continuously strengthen the sorting of pilot work issues, conduct in-depth Q&A on pilot problems, and comprehensively ensure the construction and operational support of the product carbon footprint label certification pilot, contributing certification strength to promote the green and low-carbon development of China's economy and society.
