Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued the "Interim Provisions on the Management of Online Tourism Operation Services," effective from October 1, 2020. The provisions will rectify unreasonable low-price tours and big data "price discrimination against loyal customers" on online tourism platforms and other bad business practices.

Article 13 of the provisions clearly states that online tourism operators shall guarantee tourists' legitimate right to evaluate and shall not arbitrarily block or delete tourists' evaluations of their products and services, and shall not mislead, induce, replace or force tourists to make evaluations. Evaluations made by tourists shall be preserved and made public to society.

Article 15 of the provisions clearly states that online tourism operators shall not abuse big data analysis and other technical means to set unfair trading conditions based on tourists' consumption records, travel preferences, etc., infringing on tourists' legitimate rights and interests.

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment jointly issued the "Measures for the Recycling and Disposal Management of Pesticide Packaging Waste", Effective from October 1, 2020 . The measures clarify that pesticide producers and operators shall fulfill the corresponding obligations for recycling pesticide packaging waste according to the principle of "who produces and operates, who recycles." Pesticide operators shall set up pesticide packaging waste recycling devices at their business premises, and shall not refuse to accept packaging waste of pesticides they sell. Pesticide users shall collect pesticide packaging waste in a timely manner and return it to pesticide operators or pesticide packaging waste recycling stations (points), and shall not discard it at will.

Recently, the Ministry of Transport issued the "Management Measures for Water Pollution Prevention of Inland River Vessels under 400 Gross Tons," which sets requirements for ship garbage disposal and will be implemented from October 1, 2020. The measures clarify that water pollution prevention for inland river vessels under 400 gross tons mainly follows the principle of "onboard storage, shore reception and disposal." Among them, it is prohibited for inland river vessels under 400 gross tons to discharge oily wastewater containing cargo oil residues, waste oil (oil sludge), wastewater containing toxic liquid substances, and ship garbage into inland waters; it is prohibited ships shall not discharge domestic sewage in drinking water source protection areas, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the Li River, and other waters where discharge of domestic sewage is prohibited. Catering wastewater such as leftover oil, leftover food, and soup generated by passenger ships shall be managed as kitchen waste, and ships shall collect and deliver it to reception facilities.
