The kick-off meeting for the audit of FAW Hongqi's Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Energy Management Systems was successfully held


On July 26, the kickoff meeting for the audit of China FAW Hongqi's Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Energy Management Systems was successfully held at the FAW Group headquarters in Changchun. The meeting was chaired by Gao Wei, Deputy General Manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of FAW Group. Participants included Dai Zhi, General Manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of FAW Group; Meng Yongge, General Manager of United Intelligence Certification Company; Wang Na, General Manager of United Intelligence Certification's Dalian subsidiary; the system construction working group; and the United Intelligence Certification audit expert team.

 

 

At the kickoff meeting, Dai Zhi, General Manager of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of FAW Group, welcomed and thanked the United Intelligence audit expert team for their arrival. In his mobilization speech, he emphasized the significant strategic tasks of high-quality development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. Under the severe situation of central environmental inspections, he stressed the importance of comprehensively promoting ecological protection, achieving dual carbon goals, and accelerating the green transformation of enterprises. With the promulgation of the new Environmental Protection Law, this further supports the sustainable development of enterprises. He requested FAW Hongqi to prepare in advance according to the audit plan, fully cooperate with the audit experts, earnestly welcome the audit with a pragmatic attitude, seriously study and implement the issues and valuable suggestions raised by the experts, continuously improve various management systems, and make the company's quality, safety, environmental protection, and energy work more solid and in-depth.

 


Yin Chengming, Director of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of FAW Group, summarized the previous work, reviewed the problems and shortcomings, announced the overall plan for FAW Hongqi's system certification audit, and established the Hongqi System Construction Working Group to implement the key requirements of the Hongqi brand system construction, coordinating the overall certification work.

 


Meng Yongge, General Manager of United Intelligence Certification Company, expressed gratitude for FAW Hongqi's trust and support of United Intelligence, affirmed the work done in the previous stage, set expectations for the certification audit work, and anticipated close cooperation in the future to empower each other, jointly promote high-quality, green, and sustainable development of enterprises and the industry, create value together, and share the achievements!

 

Wang Na, General Manager of United Intelligence Certification's Dalian subsidiary, provided a detailed introduction of the audit phase work arrangements, personnel allocation, audit scope, and schedule plan. She stated that the audit work would be strictly implemented in accordance with relevant certification systems and standards. For issues found during the audit, improvement measures and suggestions would be proposed to continuously correct and improve.

Recently, five departments—the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the National Energy Administration—jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Zero-Carbon Factories" (MIIT Joint [2026] No. 13, hereinafter referred to as the "Guiding Opinions"). These opinions aim to tap deeply into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial and information technology sectors, drive carbon reduction and efficiency improvements in key industries, promote a green and low-carbon transformation, and foster the development of new-quality productive forces.
