Xiaoshu is one of the twenty-four solar terms in the lunar calendar.

The eleventh solar term, the fifth solar term of summer,

indicating the official beginning of midsummer.

When Xiaoshu arrives, summer is in full bloom. Xiaoshu is the eleventh of the twenty-four solar terms and the fifth solar term of summer. It falls on July 7th or 8th each year when the sun reaches the celestial longitude of 105 degrees, marking the start of the hot season in most parts of China. All things flourish, and the heat rises. "Shu" means heat; Xiaoshu means slight heat, indicating that the weather begins to get hot but has not yet reached the hottest period. After Xiaoshu, the hottest time of the year will come, hence the folk saying, "Xiaoshu and Dashu, steaming above and boiling below."

These opinions aim to tap deeply into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial and information technology sectors, drive carbon reduction and efficiency improvements in key industries, promote a green and low-carbon transformation, and foster the development of new-quality productive forces.
