United Zhiyie Certification Company Empowers China FAW to Promote High-Quality Enterprise Development


On February 13, 2023, Beijing United Zhiyie Certification Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "United Zhiyie Certification Company") organized a strong team to go to China First Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China FAW") to conduct a 5-day supervision audit of the environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management systems. The supervision audit work was successfully completed by February 17. This visit to China FAW was a concentrated demonstration of United Zhiyie Certification Company's professional audit capabilities, fully showcasing United Zhiyie's strong reserve of professional technical personnel and excellent work style in related evaluation fields.

Heading to China FAW to carry out supervision audits of three systems

To help further improve the management system of China FAW's Hongqi brand, United Zhiyie Certification Company conducted a 5-day supervision audit of the environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management systems at China FAW. The audit team consisted of 18 people, led by audit expert Mr. Zhang Zhenfa from United Zhiyie Certification Company. Meng Yongge, Vice President of Beijing United Zhiyie Group and General Manager of the Certification Company, and Wang Na, General Manager of the Dalian subsidiary, were members of the audit team, providing technical and confidence support for this audit.

Initial Meeting

On the morning of February 13, the initial meeting of this supervision audit was chaired by audit team leader Mr. Zhang Zhenfa, clarifying the audit scope, audit basis, and audit plan arrangements. It emphasized conducting this three-system supervision audit according to certification audit rules and enterprise requirements, and read out the impartiality and confidentiality statements.

After the meeting, Meng Yongge, Vice President of Beijing United Zhiyie Group and General Manager of United Zhiyie Certification Company, and Wang Na, General Manager of the Dalian subsidiary, communicated with Dai Zhi, General Manager of China FAW's Safety and Environmental Protection Department. They not only expressed expectations for the certification audit work but also anticipated close cooperation between the two companies in the future, mutually empowering each other, collaboratively promoting high-quality, green, and sustainable development of enterprises and industries, creating value together, and sharing the achievements!

Audit Style

Auditors were divided into groups to go to various audit sites of China FAW — including the headquarters functional departments, R&D headquarters, Hongqi factory, Ulsan factory, powertrain factory, new energy power factory, and the Prosperity factory included in this system.

The auditors obtained audit evidence by reviewing documents, listening to reports, sampling inspections, checking original records, conducting inquiries and investigations, and on-site inspections, and discussed and communicated the issues found during the audit process with the management of each factory.

 

Final Meeting

At the meeting, audit team leader Zhang Zhenfa reported the audit situation, stating that China FAW's environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management systems are operating continuously and effectively, and made the audit conclusion recommending maintaining certification qualifications. While affirming the achievements, he also proposed rectification suggestions for the problems found.

Dai Zhi, General Manager of China FAW's Safety and Environmental Protection Department, stated in his speech that an efficient standardized management system is an important way for continuous improvement of enterprise management and a symbol of standardized management. This audit tested the practical system management capabilities of each factory, contributing to a "Better Life, Wonderful Travel."

Recently, five departments—the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the National Energy Administration—jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Zero-Carbon Factories" (MIIT Joint [2026] No. 13, hereinafter referred to as the "Guiding Opinions"). These opinions aim to tap deeply into the potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial and information technology sectors, drive carbon reduction and efficiency improvements in key industries, promote a green and low-carbon transformation, and foster the development of new-quality productive forces.
